Tiredness

C. Knight / krider

It’s been a long week this one. Well technically I guess not any longer than any other but it’s felt it. Definitely feeling the tiredness. All the work and training has caught up with me. That and needing to finalise my tax return, chase a missing parcel, deal with some (my) company admin, take charge of some things in my employed job, another cold starting, and … ๐Ÿ™‚

That said I’ve ploughed on through the planned sessions and only one short run felt really bad. And other sessions have felt quite good. Odd that but I’ll take it. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere in the group kettlebell sport training session at BBF on Thursday which seemed to spur me on. Hard training, improving technique, and good banter. Perfect!

It will be interesting to see how the taper goes over the next week. I suspect I’ll be fed up of cardio at the end of it ๐Ÿ˜‰ A bit of metafit, some very light kettlebell work (no long cycle), and few runs is all I have next week before the weigh in and competition.

And the week after the competition I suspect I will be having a few more lie-ins than I’ve had recently where I wont be training before work. A small de-load is in order before the next training plan kicks in. Though I’ll miss the views like the one at the top of this post. Makes getting up early worthwhile. Though I have no plans to be at training early enough to see such views come the summer months ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • […] Various people, including hubby, had bugs last week, and despite trying to avoid it I succumbed over the weekend. I managed my final competition session on Saturday morning though my heart rate was higher than I’d expect through it all. I then ached a lot. More than I have done with similar workouts. I put all that down to previous blogged about tiredness. […]
